The station of Buir on the upgraded line Cologne-Düren
(<a href="http://www-users.rwth-aachen.de/christoph.schmitz2/strecke/strecke.html">ABS 4</a>)
seen looking towards east from the south side on 20 April 2002. On the right is
track 1, the last remaining old track. The new wall on the left will probably
be the backside of the northern platform for the S-Bahn (urban trains), it's
tracks will use the area of the old track and the old platform. Behind the wall
are the new highspeed tracks, of which the northern one is already in service.
In the background is the old signalbox at the level crossing.
