The new station Dresden Flughafen is an underground end station with two 
tracks and a central platform. The line from Dresden-Klotzsche to the 
airport (single track, non-electrified) is an extension of an old 
industrial track. From 2001-03-25 on, the line will be operated with 
class 642 DMUs, but it is planned to electrify the line in 2002 or 2003 
and run electric trains.
