Dresden-Mitte. This station once had a big glass roof similar to
Hamburg-Dammtor or Berlin-Alexanderplatz; in the second world war,
the roof was damaged and was later removed almost completely. One
of the pillars, which also served as an exhaust stack for the old
heating system (now out of service), remains as the only reminder
of the old hall. October 2001.
