The station of Düren at the end of the upgraded line from Cologne
(<a href="http://www-users.rwth-aachen.de/christoph.schmitz2/strecke/strecke.html">ABS 4</a>)
seen looking towards north on 6 November 2001. In the foreground is track 3 for
the trains towards Cologne. Behind it is the area where track 2, the straight
track towards Cologne, was removed. Track 1 is still in it's old place in this
area. The gap between the next two platforms used to contain the tracks 17, 18
and 19 which ended at a turntable east of the station building. Behind are the
tracks 22 and 23 for the trains to J&uuml;lich and some tracks for freight
trains.
