The station of Düren at the end of the upgraded line from Cologne
(<a href="http://www-users.rwth-aachen.de/christoph.schmitz2/strecke/strecke.html">ABS 4</a>)
seen looking towards west from the platform of track 6 on 15 August 2002. At
the old staircase between track 3 and 5 the roof and the walls were removed. In
the future the whole western part of the platform will be covered by a roof.
Behind the staircase a new elevator is prepared. At track 5, the platform will
be continued by a lower part for the trains to Heimbach, note that the signals
(the old one and a new one that will replace it) are very far away.
