Gößnitz railway station, view from streetbridge
View over the railway station of Gößnitz towards north. Gößnitz is the crossing station of the lines linking Leipzig and Hof on the one side and Gera and Glauchau on the other side. Visible in the middle the terminal building and shunting loco 298 071 in front of it. On the platform of Gößnitz you can find a plaque with the inscription „Willkommen auf dem längsten Bahnsteig Deutschlands“ ("Welcome to the longest platform of Germany"). Photo taken 30 April 2001.

Aged terminal building of Gößnitz seen from streetside. Gößnitz is the crossing station of the lines linking Leipzig and Hof on the one side and Gera and Glauchau on the other side. Gößnitz station construction site
Construction site on the eastern side of Gößnitz station. Here a barrier-free access to the middle platform is built on the site of the former station building. Planned completion in 2016. Photo taken Wednesday 13 May 2015.
