The service yard Köln Bbf in a panoramic view, taken from the 30th floor of the Kölnturm on 28 June 2003. On the right the line runs to the main station. On the left is Nippes junction. The line disappearing in the lower left corner runs via Köln West and Köln Süd to Kalscheuren, where it forks to Koblenz and Trier. The line to Köln-Ehrenfeld disappears at the left edge, where the bridge of the S-Bahn is visible. At Ehrenfeld it forks to Aachen and Mönchengladbach. The line to Longerich-Dormagen-Neuss runs into the background, on the right of the white-blue building. In the yard several trains are stored, including ICE's, IC's, local trains, locos for work trains and shunters.
