Magdeburg Station in Saxony-Anhalt. The exterior of Magdeburg Hauptbahnhof is very clean and imposing. The street in front has been turned into a pedestrian mall with twin tram tracks. This is the main entrance located on the east side. Photographed on Wednesday May 7th, 2003.

Magdeburg Station in Saxony-Anhalt. The platforms at Magdeburg station are grouped into an east set and a west set with a large space between them. This is the modern north entrance to the station off of Ernst Reuter Allee. Photographed on Wednesday May 7th, 2003.

The station is the main station of Magdeburg and along with Halle Hauptbahnhof the centre of long-distance rail transport in Saxony-Anhalt from which the old destination boards depictured are evidence of.
