The S-Bahn (suburban railway) stop Merzenich on the
<a href="http://www-users.rwth-aachen.de/christoph.schmitz2/strecke/strecke.html">upgraded
line Cologne-D&uuml;ren</a> seen from western end of the platform on 22 October
2006. Most of the extension of the parking site (the hindmost half) is opened, a
small part on the left where a gas pipe was laid is still in the works. The
picture was taken on a sunday, on weekdays the parking site is well used.
