Nossen railway station staff facility
Staff facility (Sozialgebäude) on the grounds of the former 750-mm narrow gauge railway Freital-Potschappel–Wilsdruff–Nossen, in the area of the dismantled main tracks. On this route passenger rail officially discontinued on October 1, 1972, freight transport to Siebenlehn followed on December 3, 1973. As the building is supposed to have arisen immediately after disassembly of the tracks, it is assumed that it was built in 1975. The building contains five office rooms, two vanity areas, a boiler room and three storage rooms which are only accessible from the west side (gable end) via separate double-leaf steel doors. In the background is the former covered passenger platform, whose once open side was bricked and provided with windows. Freight shed on the right. Photo taken Sunday 11 November 2007.
