The old station of Sindorf on the upgraded line Cologne-Düren
(<a href="http://www-users.rwth-aachen.de/christoph.schmitz2/strecke/strecke.html">ABS 4</a>)
seen looking eastwards from the Europaring bridge on 28 October 2001. On the
right the single track of the S-Bahn (urban trains) was just assembled, it's
catenary seems to be more or less finished. The old main tracks in the center
are still in place, also is the northern siding on the left. North of it the
siding is built up new to leave more space for the highspeed tracks, and a
second track is added. For a short period the station has six tracks, but only
five will be there when all is finished.
