Falkenberg (Elster) railway station building
Rebuilt station building of Falkenberg (Elster). I am surprised that there have been no prior images from Falkenberg until now... This station is the mecca for railway enthusiasts! It is one of the largest railway stations in Brandenburg. From the station railways run into seven directions. It is built as a tower station, where the routes are linked in both planes by several compound curves. Both in the upper and the lower part there are large railway yards. At times Falkenberg was the fifth largest railway yard in the GDR. Photo taken Friday 8 August 2014.
