Sbrarup1.jpg (147938 bytes)

Station building of Süderbrarup (street side). Süderbrarup is located in the north of Germany ("Schleswig-Holstein") at the DB AG railway line between Kiel and Flensburg. In former times this line was crossed at this station by a line of the "Schleswiger Kreisbahn" (later: VKSF). The "Schleswiger Kreisbahn" had a line which went from Schleswig to Kappeln/Schlei. The tracks to Schleswig were removed in 1984, on the rest of the line from Süderbrarup to Kappeln it is possible to take a ride on veteran trains.

Railway station of Spremberg located in South Brandenburg on the Berlin–Görlitz railway (route km 138.42). Since December 2008 only provider for rail travel ist the Ostdeutsche Eisenbahn (ODEG). Trains run hourly from Cottbus (connections in the direction of Berlin), via Spremberg, Weißwasser and Görlitz to Zittau. These trains replaced the Lausitzbahn of Veolia Verkehr GmbH circulating there since 2002. Photo taken Thursday 9 October 2014.

Steinsfurt-mt.jpg (119694 bytes)

Steinsfurt Bahnhof is located on the non-electrified line between Heilbronn & Heidelberg via Meckesheim. Interestingly there are 3 station name boards, the most recent just below the clock, then above the ground floor windows (perhaps these were once raised letters) and the original carved name but spelt Steinsfurth at the roof line.
Photographed from RB18320 on Wednesday May 5th, 2004.

Stolberghz1.jpg (161766 bytes)

Stolberg (Harz) station building
Trackside view of Stolberg (Harz) station building located on the Berga-Kelbra–Stolberg (Harz) branch line (route km 14.9). Photo taken on Saturday 22 March 2003 when there was still passenger traffic. Every train service was shut down in December 2011 so it seems to be another example of tax wasting because the station got a new platform as visible on the photo. Moreover the complete line has been renovated for 15 mio € in 1998! But compared to 1998, there was another state government in Saxony-Anhalt, which is responsible for regional rail transport.
