DB Class 52. 2-10-0 Steam locomotive 52 8154-8 waits in platform 9 with a special train at Leipzig Hauptbahnhof on Thursday May 8th, 2003. Diesel shunter 298 110-8 had previously moved the empty stock into the platform and then moved to a loco holding siding effectively blocking a front view of the steamer.

52 8154-8 is getting coals in the former depot of Koblenz-Luetzel. On Eastern 97 there was a
big steam festival in Koblenz with many special trains. In the second world war, there were
build many thousand of BR 52 for the war. The DR of the GDR rebuild many of these
locomotives, so today there are a lot of them at historic railways in Germany, also in the
former West-Germany. 52 8154-8 is one of these locomotives
52 8154-8 im ehemaligen Bahnbetriebswerk Koblenz-Luetzel. An Ostern 97 war in Koblenz ein grosses Dampffest am Deutschen Eck, wo unter anderem 52 8154-8 vor Sonderzuegen eingesetzt wurde. 52 8154-8 ist eine der Loks, der in grossen Stueckzahlen gebauten Kriegsloks der BR 52, die von der DR der DDR umfangreich rekonstruiert wurden.
