Dieser Rekotriebwagen in Nordend zeigt sich in einem ziemlich schlechten Zustand. Vermutlich dient er nur noch als Ersatzteilspender für die beiden historischen Züge. Der Reko-Arbeitstriebwagen 4508 in Nordend neben zwei älteren Fahrzeugen. Er wird vom DVN für gelegentliche Transporte verwendet. Die BVB hatte überzählige Reko-Wagen zu Arbeitsfahrzeugen umbauen lassen, dabei wurde der Fahrgastraum durch einen Laderaum ersetzt, der durch eine große Schiebetür in der Mitte zugänglich ist. Bis 2001 waren diese Fahrzeuge noch im Planeinsatz unterwegs. Reko work tram in Nordend between two older trams. It is used for some transports of the DVN. The BVB has changed no longer needed Reko-trams to work trams. They got a big door in the middle. This units were taken out of service in 2001. Photographer Christian vebgotha@yahoo.de

Historischer Einrichtungs-Reko-Triebwagen 217 055 mit Beiwagen 267 116 und 267 427 hat gerade den Betriebsbahnhof Nordend verlassen und wird nun zum Hackeschen Markt fahren, um dort seine zweite Sonderfahrt anzutreten. Die Rekowagen wurden von den 50ern bis in die 70er hinein vor allem in Berlin gebaut. Sie wurden aus alten Straßenbahnen der 20er und 30er "rekonstruiert". Das Design und die Technik lehnten sich an die Gotha-Wagen an, jedoch waren die Rekowagen lauter und unbequemer als diese. In Berlin wurden sie 1996 ausgemustert. Historic one-way Reko-tram with two wagons has left Nordend on its way to Hackescher Markt for the second special drive. The Rekow-Trams were build from the 50ties to the 70tie and were "reconstructed" old trams from the 20ties and 30ties. One of a pair of Berlin trams purchased by the Crich Tramway Museum used as disabled or limited access trams so that all visitors can enjoy a tram ride.
