Tramcar 2048 of the Kölner Verkehrsbetriebe (KVB) is the trailing unit of
a double traction, waiting in the turning loop at Longerich (northern end of
line 6) on 19 February 2004. This line, which is only operating during the rush
hour, was run with double tractions instead of single cars, as a high amount of
passengers was expected on that day ("Weiberfastnacht", the Thursday where the
carnival starts). Among trains of the well-known eight-axled cars (probably all
belonging to 3200 series), also six-axled cars of 2000 series were used. In
contrast to many other turning loops (a lot of them no more existing), this
loop obviously is not too tight for six-axled cars. Note that the display on
the sidewall shows the wrong line number (13 instead of 6).

Tramcars 2119 (leading) and 2110 (trailing) arrive at the tram stop
"Sparkasse Am Butzweilerhof" on 12 December 2010. This is the terminus of the
extension of line 5 which went into service that day, connecting the new
commercial zone with the city. Both cars wear an identical advertising for this
project, which was built on the area of the disused airport Butzweilerhof. The
destination indicator was already changed for the trip back to the
Reichenspergerplatz.

The tram station Zollstock Südfriedhof in Cologne seen from the northern
end on 26 August 2003. There was a turning loop for the old eight-axled cars in
the past, at this time there is only this dead-end track on the south side of
the area where a train leaded by tramcar 2109 waits for departure towards
Merkenich. Of course the line is double-tracked, there is a switch next to the
station connecting this track to the two tracks leading into the city. In the
future a platform with two tracks will be built on the north side of the area
(not in the picture).
