On 22 April 2006, the parts of the tunneling machine "Tosca", which will drill
the eastern tube of the new underground line, were lifted into the starting pit
at the station Bonner Wall. This is the front shield (Schneidenschuß), it
was already placed at the position where the parts of the shield were
assembled. On the right the center shield (Mittelschuß) will be attached,
while the cutting wheel will be inserted on the left. Later the whole shield
will be shifted forward and sidewards to be placed at the front end of the tail
modules visible in the background. The assembling position is in fact in front
of the western tube, which will be drilled by "Rosa", the other machine which
will be assembled later.
