Dieser Messzug der DB AG fuhr am 30.07.2004 um 18:30 durch Regensburg. Die 101 037-0 zog dabei die abgebügelte frankfurter 103 235-8 (Hersteller: Henschel/BBC) zusammen mit 2 Wagen Dms322 und einen umgebauten exDB Schlafwagen.

| DB Netz (?) 60 80 99-26 250-3 Wohnwerkstattwagen. The origins of this car may be at the beginning of the 20th century when most trains were composed of two or three axle cars. A lot of those cars (including the well-known three-axle compartment cars of Prussia) survived the second world war when there was a shortage of rolling stock that could not be satisfied with new cars, so the decision was taken to produce unified three and four axle "rebuilt cars" on the underframes of the old rolling stock from 1955. Those remained in service until around 1980, but a lot found a "third life" - rebuilt again into workshop cars with sleeping compartments for trackbuilding crews. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s they could be found on the sidings of many stations, then most were scrapped. One pair still can be found in Weil am Rhein, mostly with preserved 1970s/80s inscription. 2011-09-29. |

Track measuring car 63 80 99-94 002-2 at the rear end of measuring train 95141,
seen at Langerwehe (on Cologne-Aachen) after arrival from Cologne on 19 May
2004. The other car is 63 80 99-94 003-0, and the loco is 750 003-6. This car
has a cab, allowing the train to be reversed without shunting, which would be
impossible on some lines. However in this case the loco ran around the train
before it returned to Cologne as 95142. Originally it was intended to do this
here, but later the train was ordered to continue westwards before reversing.
So it was probably shunted in Eschweiler or Stolberg before it returned,
running through Langerwehe without a stop.

Two 3-axle cars serving as workshop and temporary living space for
trackwork crews - obviously retired. In the 1950s the DB built these
cars for branch lines on the underframes of (mostly) ex-KPEV
compartment cars from the beginning of the 20th century. Their
passenger service ended in the 1970s due to low comfort and no
automatic doors, but a lot of them had a second life as work car.

An old steel passenger car from the 1920s, which had for many years been used as a stationary storage room in Karlsruhe's shunting yard, is now seen on a side track of the main station at Karlsruhe, to be taken to an unknown destination.

In June 1996 in Braunschweig, I found this scene: the hopper car in
back and the worker sleeping car in front (rebuilt from 3-axle passenger
car) seem to have crashed into the buffer stop at high speed. The tracks
were deformed and the wagons partly derailed.

Two Einheitshilfsgerätewagen (what an awful german word, let's just say
these cars contain equipment that is needed in case of derailments and other
incidents) standing in a siding in Aachen Hbf on 26 July 2001. The one in front
has still the older yellow livery, while the one behind has a new red painting.
A warning sign hangs on the coupler because the cars are connected to a
stationary electricity supply. The inscription on the gangway footplate says
"Shunt with care".

DB AG measuring car for locomotives in a livery based on the colours used
from 1987 to 1996, but with yellow window band. This end has a cab and a
