I can't see the number on the MZ, 1437 or 1447 ? What differense does it make anyway ? It's just a nice shot of a MZ.

DSB diesel-electric MZ series III, no. 1445 in Næstved 26. november 1988. The MZ locomotives series I-III all had their corner-windows closed from the end of the 1980's to the beginning of the 1990's. At the photo this loco (build by Nohab 1974/no. 2876) still appears in its original look.
All 20 DSB MZ series III are due to be withdrawn, 10 of which already sold to Iran.

A view at the ferry station Rødby Færge 21. march 1989, the clock is 10.14. DSB MZ 1444 is heading the "Scandia Express" out of the station, whereas several locos class MX and MZ series IV is standing at the depot. In the background a class MT is flatbed-waggons carrying "Volvo"-containers.
In the left side, the Deutsche Bundesbahn ferry "F/S Theodor Heuss" is seen in the ferrybed, whereas the DSB "M/F Danmark" is to the right. Most of this is now history, as the Great Belt link has taken over most of the international trains and the ferries has been replaced with faster and more modern ones.
