Danmarks Jernbanemuseum - Denmark
Branch line locomotive H 40 is the oldest steam locomotive preserved in Denmark. It was built in 1868.

Steam locomotive H 40 built 1868 by Stephenson for the jydsk-fyenske Jernbaner (JFJ) in a series of 6, used by DSB until 1946 on branch lines. This is Denmark's oldest preserved locomotive. B1', 70 km/h, 2 t coal, 3000 l water, 1.4 m driving wheel diameter, length 10.6 m, weight 29.1 t.
