Desde el 19 de Diciembre de 2010, Barcelona está conectada con el resto de Europa a través del ancho UIC. A raíz de esto, RENFE adaptó 4 locomotoras de la serie 252 para que pudieran llegar a Francia, incorporando los equipos necesarios para funcionar bajo los 1500V presentes en el sur de Francia.
En la foto, la 252-028 junto a su compañera 252-024 traccionan el TECO 41103 Barcelona-Morrot -> Milán a su paso por Girona el pasado 19 de Enero de 2011.
Since 2010 December 19th, Barcelona is connected to the rest of Europe with UIC-gauge tracks. Cause of this, RENFE adapted 4 locomotives of Class 252 to allow them to run in France, by adding necessary equipment for work under 1500V present in southern France.
In the photo, 252-028 and 252-024 are in front of TECO 41103 from Barcelona-Morrot to Milano, passing Girona station in 2011 19th January.
