The high speed Renfe AVE ("Alta Velocidad Española" or Spanish High
Speed) class 100 train arriving at Madrid- Puerta de Atocha station. This
train runs between Madrid and Sevilla over a high speed track of
international 1,435 m. gauge. It has a top speed of 300 km/h. and consists of
two engines and eight intermediate cars, including a cafeteria car. This

station. On the right there is a Talgo 200 train, which uses the AVE high
speed track to connect Madrid with Cadiz and Huelva. The photo was taken on

Vestibule of a Turista-class coach of AVE-102.010 set.
As on Talgo 7 sets, and unlike all previous Talgo stock, AVE-102s feature a folding, extra step.
This is to improve accessibility from platforms built to French standards (55cm-1ft10in), as is the case on Madrid-Seville.

The gangway itself looks quite conventional, unlike the bowed streamlining...
