The "all-in-waves" canopy was completed, but some works were still to be done on platforms, though. Provisional platforms were still use, and these were then accommodating 2 Class 440s of RENFE-Cercanias. Refurbished Class 440 (440R) of RENFE-Cercanias (440.205), seen upon at Cerbère, on Regional 5187 from Barcelona-Sants (connecting with Talgo 72 to Montpellier-St Roch).
While this formation is accommodated on the only broad-gauge track (1668mm-5ft6in) used in passenger traffic at Cerbère, it runs at half-power only, as the whole Cerbère-Portbou complex is under 1.5kV DC, whatever the track-gauge. Cerbère. 5th October 2004.

This is the most common layout, with 2+2 seating.
Overall ambience is very close to that of Class 446 and 447, although backrests are somehow lower.
