Locomotora eléctrica T-10 de FGV (ex-tranvía de Pobla Llarga a Villanueva de Castellón y ex-F.C. de Valencia a Villanueva de Castellón nº 1, ex-Compañía de Tranvías y Ferrocarriles de Valencia CFTV T-10 -antes nº 1- y ex-FEVE T-10). Formaba parte de una serie de tres locomotoras fabricadas por la compañía belga Établisements Berliet en 1918 como tractores con motor térmico, siendo convertidos en locomotoras eléctricas en los años 50, utilizando para ello los motores de antiguos tranvías retirados. La locomotora de la fotografía es la única superviviente de la clase, habiendose preservado por FGV y hallándose expuesta en la entrada a los talleres de la compañía en la estación de València-Sud. FGV : T-10 Construidos en 1918 por Etablissements Berliet de Venissieux (Lyon), los adquirio CFTV en los años 30 y trabajaron como locomotoras de mercancias. Tras la guerra civil española, se les cambio los motores de gasolina por otros diesel. Posteriormente se reconstruyeron como vehiculos de traccion electrica conservando solo los bastidores y el rodaje. Built in 1918 by Etablissements Berliet of Venissieux (Lyon), CFTV acquired them in the years 30 and they worked as engines of goods. After the Spanish civil war, they are changed the motors of gasoline by other diesel one. Later on they were reconstructed as vehicles of electric traction conserving alone the wings and the filming. Kaldy, summer 1991 The other picture shows one of the three Diesel-hydraulic locomtives constructed in 1959 by Batignolles-Chatillon. (numbers 1203, 1206 & 1208). The numbers are not successive because the rolling stock is inherited from the FEVE. This is the second Spanish national railway company, wich was responsible for most of the narrow gauge railways. FGV - Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (Spain) Line Alicante-Denia Railway station Benidorm - can somebody help me with the more precise description of the old-fashion trains? I've discovered the romantic corner by the way to "platje". Photo: A. Kaldy, summer 1991 (kaldy@albico.cz) The old fashioned train is probably the "Limon Express". In front of it one of the two Diesel-electric locomotives wich are normally used for this train. (numbers 1030 & 1032). These locomotives are of the type Alsthom Model BB44t. I have two books in wich these locomotives are mentioned. One gives 1958 as year of construction for both, the other gives 1964/67. I don't know the truth, but totally 42 locomotives of this type were delivered to the severall Spanish narrow gauge railways.
