Under the Barcelona-Figueres-France HSL, this station is to be redeveloped into a mere underground stop for Commuter traffic.

The Talgo Pendular 6 formation there is that of Trenhotel 275/4 "Pau Casals" (from Zürich Hbf) and 11275/4 "Salvador Dali" (from Milano Cle), awaiting to be shunted back to the Talgo workshops (further right, off-pic).

Under the Barcelona-Figueres-France HSL, this station is to be redeveloped into a mere underground stop for Commuter traffic.

Yet, under the Madrid-Barcelona HSL, it is to relieve Barcelona-Sants, where fewer tracks will be available as remodelling goes ahead.
Hence these extra sidings under construction, to accommodate all those services that will extend from Sants and terminate here.

Under the Barcelona-Figueres-France HSL, this site is to be extensively redeveloped.
As a result, both Talgo and RENFE are to relocate (and extend) their facilities, reportedly closer to the new multimodal station of La Sagrera.
