SNCF BB 12000 (AC electric) is crossing the river Seine on the bridge of Maisons Laffitte (20 KM W of Paris) It is hauling a BB 25500 out of tension, and an empty auto-carrier train, to Achères Yard, which main business is now sorting of auto-carriers trains . SNCF electric AC / BB12000 is approaching at low speed Achères Ville, on the way from Corbehem to Achères via Conflans Fin d'Oise.

SNCF - This unidentified BB 12000 is seen in April 1982 passing Hornaing, heading Somain from Valenciennes. The power plant (stopped in 2013) of Hornaing can be seen in the background.
At this time, freight trains and "crocodiles" engines were very frequent on this line.
This image is taken with an Instamatic Kodak, with very limited speed and light managing capacities.
