Morand Bridge over the Rhône in Lyon. While only cars are visible, this bridge is also used by Metro Line A to cross the river between Hotel de Ville and Cordeliers stations. The line is hosted within the span, hence its thickness. Lay passengers can not realise that they actually cross the river overground.

Gauge-clearance for river-traffic has required a rather substantial heigth, which has all but improved the aesthetics of this bridge...
