Steam locomotive 231 H 8, built 1912 as PLM 6143, later named 231 A 43, rebuilt in 1930 to 231 E 43, it became SNCF 231 H 8, here shown with special decoration for the presidential train. Steam locomotive Avignon-Marseille No. 6 "L'Aigle", built 1846 by Robert Stephenson & Cie at Newcastle-upon-Tyne (factory No. 401). This is a third generation longboiler engine, an improvement over the Patentee class (of which the first steam locomotive in Germany "Der Adler" is an example). It was delivered by ship to Marseille (via Gibraltar). Later it became PLM No. 206, it remained in service until 1865, then used from 1871 as a stationary heating engine in Valence and Oullins until 1913, when the decision was taken to preserve the locomotive, which was shown on various exhibitions since then. Weight 22.1 t, length 7.39 m, wheel diameter 1.7 m. The tender is not preserved.

PLM 231 C 17 (origin PLM 6027, renumbered 6217 in 1913. Henschel n° 10860/1912). This locomotive was renumbered 231 C 17 in 1925, rebuilt by Oullins works in 1935, renumbered as SNCF 5 231 I 17 in 1938, and rebuilt as "K" class in 1946. Scrapped in 1962.

PLM n° 541 (Graffenstaden n° 23/1858). This engerth 022 T was delivered new to Cie des chemins de fer du Dauphiné as n° 25 "Turin". Renumbered 975 when the company was take over by PLM in 1863, and 541 in 1880. Scrapped in 1910/11. Hyères (83), circa 1905.
