On Wednesday 30th June 1999 while accelerating away from a signal check
at Slateford, Edinburgh, the 6U06 Ravenstruther - Drax coal (M.G.R)
train hauled by 60043 suffered a coupling break between the 31st & 32nd
wagons leaving the last 5 wagons fouling the main line into Edinburgh
and causing disruption to services into Edinburgh.
One of two services to be signalled into Edinburgh 'Wrong Line' was
GNER'S 1E09, 10:00 Glasgow Central - London Kings Cross service. With
56054 just visible on the right which was sent out to recover the wagons,
82207 leads the train 'Wrong Line' through Slateford station at 11:40.
