30 June 2001, GNER train in Waverley, UK
Airline seat arrangement inside a 2nd class coach of a GNER 225 train.
It is clear that the seats do not align with the windows, for
capacity reasons five seats are crammed into the length of two
window frames.
The free distance between the back rests is 65cm in the middle of
the seat and reduces to 58cm on the side between the back rest
and the hinges for the folding table. There is a real chance
that a person with legs longer than average has problems
cramming oneself into this little space.
