On Wednesday 30th June 1999 while accelerating away from a signal check at Slateford, Edinburgh, the 6U06 Ravenstruther - Drax coal (M.G.R) train hauled by 60043 suffered a coupling break between the 31st & 32nd wagons leaving the last 5 wagons fouling the main line into Edinburgh and causing disruption to services into Edinburgh.
This view taken at 10:45 shows 355395 (32nd wagon in consist) and the failed coupling chain still attached to the coupling hook.
