EWS Class 33.

Following the need by EWS for a more powerful locomotive on the trip workings around the Aberdeen area as the 08/09 locomotives normally employed on these duties could not cope, EWS reinstated two class 33 locomotives, namely 33025 & 33030, and sent them up to Scotland for use on these trip workings around Aberdeen. Also sent up was 33019 which is to be kept at Motherwell TMD as a source of spares. In this view, 33019 stands in the company of 33030 at Motherwell TMD on Saturday 24th October 1999.
