The very unhealthy sounding EWS Class 37 diesel locomotive 37416 at Fort William Station. The loco had apparently failed half-a-dozen times en route from London with the sleeper service, arriving into Fort William several hours late, and causing a significant delay to the return leg of <i>The Jacobite</i> steam service from Mallaig. One passenger even suggested that they should have used the steam locomotive to rescue the diesel!
