This is a sight that was not expected. 37689 is taking 3 312 units out of storage from Shoeburyness to Ilford...they were only taken there a few weeks ago...as it is reported that transformer problems have been encountered with the new First Great Eastern Class 360 Desiro units. The train is seen shortly to set off from Stratford on the last part of its journey on the 21st January 2004.

Behind the loco is former inspection saloon DB999508 which is now a recording coach.
