On Mon 28th May 2007, Pathfinder Tours ran the 'Retro Retracer' railtour from Bristol to Leeds & return featuring classes of locomotives that played an important role in the development of freight by rail during the days of British Rail. For the 1Z40 15:00 Leeds - Crewe leg of the tour, which should have been a pair of DRS Class 20's, Class 40 - 40145, which is owned by the CFPS and operated on behalf of East Lancashire Railway Diesels, was substituted instead. In this illustration, taken at 17:47 shortly after arrival at Crewe, 40145 has just uncoupled from the raltour stock and exits the station in order to let the next locomotive, namely EWS Class 92 - 92030 'Ashford', take the tour on to Birmingham.
