Virtually bang on time having set off from Crewe early morning 40145 brings its
'Capital Whistler' Pathfinder Charter through Palmers Green N.London on its way to
London Kings Cross...but what is this on the side! It says BEAVER...we understand they
sponsored the loco's repaint into Rail Blue...so fair enough.

This is the only class 40 with main line certification. This is its first visit to the
to the London area since it returned to traffic in the Autumn of 2002 and its also its first trip in Rail Blue
having previously been in green. An opportunity to see and hear a 'Whistler' once more 
is something many rail enthusiasts will enjoy. The date is Saturday 6th September 2003.
