This is the first time we have seen 47145 'Merddin Emrys' in action since May 1999 following its return to traffic last year with Fragonset now known as FM Rail. The loco is pictured taking 33103 through Stratford on the 14th June 2005.

Now this is what we like to see Celebrity Loco 47145 'Merddin Emrys' now part of the FM Rail Fleet on a real freight train. The loco spent a number of years dumped at Crewe following withdrawal by EWS and although it has encountered one or two failures since its return to traffic it makes a very welcomed change on todays GM dominated freight scene. Pictured on the 3rd April 2006.

47145 'Merddyn Emrys' was very much a celebrity class 47 as Tinsley Depot had given this loco an unique livery. It is pictured in glorious Spring sunshine at Stratford in 1999. The good news is that after spending a number of years languishing at Crewe and the dreaded Wigan Springs the loco has been acquired by Fragonset and is currently...Winter 2004... being restored. There is a distinct possibility that it may return to traffic in its popular RfD blue livery. We will have to wait and see!
