47145 'Merddyn Emrys' was very much a celebrity class 47 as Tinsley Depot had given this loco
an unique livery. It is pictured in glorious Spring sunshine at Stratford in 1999. The good news is
that after spending a number of years languishing at Crewe and the dreaded Wigan Springs the loco
has been acquired by Fragonset and is currently...Winter 2004... being restored. There is a distinct
possibility that it may return to traffic in its popular RfD blue livery. We will have to wait and see!
