We were down at Newport S.Wales when this 'gem' suddenly appeared having been hidden behind other locos. It retains a sort of Mainline livery and as class 66s had yet to enter traffic anything that was capable of running was put to use...including 47523 'Railfreight'. It moved off from the station and later returned on a freight. The year was 1998...the last when goods traffic was mostly dominated by British Diesels making this period a really good and memorable one.
