47767 'Mappa Mundi' is pictured at London's Victoria station about to set off with its VSOE charter, on which it subsequently caught fire. Mappa Mundi? Is a map of the world as seen in the 13th century. This unique British medieval treasure can be found at Hereford Cathedral. It is not the first loco to carry the name though as previously it was on a class 31. As for 47767 it is currently classified n/one, which tends to indicate its a case of mappa endi...not a bad run though just over 38 years.
