47709 wants it's next call of duty at Saltley Depot, Birmingham on Sun 13th June 1999. This loco is one of the original 12 (47701-47712) Class 47/7's that were converted back in the early 1980's for use on the Edinburgh - Glasgow push-pull passenger services and are therefor equipped with an earlier form of TDM (push-pull) equipment conpared with the later RES convertions (47721-47793) converted in the 1990's.
