Newport station in South Wales - Arriva Trains Wales Class 175 DMU 175107 on a scheduled Northwest England or North Wales to Cardiff service is at platform 2. On the right, an Arriva Trains Wales shuttle service between here and Cardiff, top-and-tailed by locomotives, 50049 and 37425 - both in BR Large Logo livery, waits at platform 1 with the Class 50 at the head. The shuttle service is to cater for the extra demand generated by the Rugby Union <i>Heineken Cup</i> final between Munster and Biarritz at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.
