On Mon 28th May 2007, Pathfinder Tours ran the 'Retro Retracer' railtour from Bristol to Leeds & return featuring classes of locomotives that played an important role in the development of freight by rail during the days of British Rail. One such class was the Class 59 locomotives, purchased by Foster Yeoman (59/0), ARC (59/1) & National Power (59/2), a design which later led onto what we now know as the Class 66. For the 1Z93 20:14 Birmingam New Street - Bristol Temple Meads leg of the tour, EWS supplied one of the former National Power Class 59/2's, namely 59203 'Vale of Pickering, which is pictured at Birmingham New Street at 20:03, where it has just taken over from EWS Class 92, 92030.
