59206 in DB SCHENKER Livery stands at Paddington on the 13th June 2009 about to take out a charter to the West Country. Normally these locos are employed on heavy freight duties so this passenger working is a relatively unusual one.

During the 12 months that DB have owned EWS they have made what can only be described as a token effort to re-brand their loco fleet. There is effectively only one other loco carrying this livery and that is 66152. Two class 37s were surprisingly also given the new look but their future now does not appear to be that bright being out of traffic and likely to remain that way. Meanwhile classes like 67s, 90s and 92s, all of which one would assume have a long term future with the company, but by the end of 2009 not a single one of them looks set to carry the new livery...DB prefering instead to carry on with what is now the rather faded EWS look or stickers!
