Class 60s have had a 'sort of revival' during the last 9 months. Having slumped to less than 30 from a total of 100 in mid 2005 they then recovered in nunber to near 80 in traffic during the leaf fall season to cover for class 66s that had replaced class 37s. Recently their numbers have fallen back again not helped by the fact that some freights around the London area that previously were class 60 hauled have now gone over to Freightliner. Locos seem to come and go on almost a daily basis but at least you can still see them around town if you are lucky. In this case 60036 'GEFCO' runs through West Brompton on the 3rd April 2006 on an aggregates working.
