No ordinary 'skip' this one...67005 'Queen's Messenger' as the name suggests is a Royal Loco. However it is not confined to just carrying out Royal Train duties and on this occasion is on a Herfordshire Rail Tour Charter to Lincoln. Advance information about the Royal Train is not surprisingly hard to come by. However you may be lucky and be in the right place when it appears as was the case here. 67005 brings the empty coaching stock through West Drayton on the 25th February 2005, the Royal Party having now left the train. We think that this is possibly the first time that the Royal Train has run with class 67s in matching livery. 67005 'Queen's Messenger' was leading whilst pictured here is 67006 which was named 'Royal Sovereign' earlier in the day at Bristol Temple Meads.
