Looking west from the western end of Newport station in South Wales. On the right is a special RUGBYEX service from Cardiff Central to Crewe consisting of unbranded Virgin Train's red and black liveried coaches hauled by EWS Class 67 locomotive 67027. On the left, approaching from under the bridge is an Arriva Trains Wales shuttle service from Cardiff Central to here. Class 37 diesel loco 37425 is leading with Class 50 50049 on the rear and four Arriva-liveried Mark 2 coaches in between. Both locomotives are in BR Large Logo livery. The shuttle service is to cater for the extra demand generated by the Rugby Union <i>Heineken Cup</i> final between Munster and Biarritz at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.
