First Great Western HST with reegineered powercar 43009 on the front heads eastbound towards Swindon with a Swansea to London Paddington express. 43009 is wearing the new First Great Western livery, officially called "dynamic lines" but known to spotters as "neon" or "nightclub"; the rest of the train retains the "Barbie" livery introduced a few years ago. Coming the other way is a an EWS Class 66 hauling a rake of empty coal wagons.
This photograph was taken looking east from the bridge over the railway just off Hambrook Lane, about 1 third of a mile east of Bristol Parkway.
