The unusual sight of a Class 43 HST at London Waterloo station.<br>
Over the long weekend of 30th April - 2nd May 2005 there was complete engineering blockade of the Great Western mainline between Slough and Reading, isolating the usual terminus of London Paddington from the rest of the network. First Great Western were operating alternate services from Reading and London Waterloo.<br>
Power car 43088 waits at platform 19 before depature to Plymouth via Reading and Bristol.
