Newport station in South Wales - a First Great Western HST on a scheduled Cardiff to London Paddington service is at platform 3. Rugby Union's <i>Heineken Cup</i> final between Munster and Biarritz was taking place at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium and so the service has been strengthened to 9 carriages to cater for the demand, this photo is of the additional first class carriage designated coach X.<br>
I travelled from Bristol Parkway to Newport on this train's westbound journey earlier in the day, and even with the additional coach it was crush loaded!
